Biodegradable Bags are available from all good supermarkets and purchase price includes weekly kerbside collection of bags.

The rubbish bin price includes a recycling bin for weekly kerbside collections.

Recycling is an integral part of EGB's rubbish refuse business and we encourage everyone to recycle. Recycling bins are a separate charge when using a compost bin only.

The delivery of new bins, servicing and maintenance is carried out on rubbish day by staff who are specifically employed for this purpose. Payment can be collected from your mailbox when your bin is delivered, it's that easy! Please notify the office prior to any changes of address/ownership etc.

Public Holidays: The only 3 days we do not collect are Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday (please check newspaper or with office to see which day these will be collected).

THE BIODEGRADABLE BAG is for household rubbish NOT inorganic rubbish, liquid, oil/paint containers, hot ashes, dirt, concrete/gravel/sand, bricks, or anything heavy ie: old fruit etc..(please be very conscious of the weight)

THE WHEELIE BIN is for household rubbish NOT inorganic rubbish, liquid, oil/paint containers, hot ashes, dirt, concrete/gravel/sand, bricks, or anything heavy ie: old fruit etc..(please be very conscious of the weight)

THE RECYCLING BIN (blue or yellow lid) is for plastics (No. 1 & 2 only), tins, paper, cardboard & unbroken glass. We ask customers to use the 'Wash & Squash' system; squash what you can & ensure containers are clean of food.

THE COMPOST BIN (bright green lid) is for : garden waste, leaves, small prunings, weeds & grass or hedge clippings NOT dirt, paper, hot ashes, bones, shells, wood, branches thicker than your finger or any non-compostable materials.

Simply keep your bin/s or bag/s in the most convenient position on your property and fill them with your rubbish and on collection day place your bins out to the kerb. Several trucks are in the area doing collections ie: one for rubbish, another for compost and one for recyclables.

1. Have your Green Bin(s) placed on the curb by 7.30am with arrows on bin lid facing the road. Only Christmas Day and Good Friday are non-collection days. Check your local press and radio if you have a holiday collection doubt;
2. Please place your bins at least one metre away from any obstacles such as trees, cars, letterboxes. Do not obstruct footpaths, accessways or roadways;
3. Please make sure the bin lid is securely closed the bin/s do not exceed their weight;
4. Please keep your bins washed & clean after use to safeguard unpleasant odors. Do not leave out overnight;
5. Do not jam cardboard / polystyrene etc in the bottom of the bin, rather place on top of other rubbish under lid so as not to risk a clear empty. (Collections are normally done by an automatic truck. The driver cannot always see if the bins are completely empty.)
6. Inform us promptly of address or ownership changes.

2. Please place your Biodegradable Bag at least one metre away from any obstacles such as trees, cars, letterboxes and other bins etc., and do not obstruct footpaths, accessway or roadway;
3. Please ensure the bag does not contain hot ashes, liquid, concrete, bricks or dirt at all times;
4. Make sure the bag is securely closed and is not excessively heavy;
5. Please do not leave bags out overnight.
